Kneissl Philosophy

We work and live for Kneissl because we believe that the highest technical performance and our need to preserve the environment should not contradict each other. Our responsibility in interacting with nature and our fellow human beings, as well as our values and attitude, have to be reflected in our materials and our craftsmanship.

We aim to fulfill our passion by creating and improving unique products using only the finest materials and methodology. In this way, we are making our contribution to a community of sports enthusiasts and individuals. Kneissl products represent an alternative to "Mainstream" in the sports industry. We are confident that wood is livelier than Polyurethane and we prefer our clothing to be made of cashmere and cotton instead of synthetic materials. Besides, who wants plastic? Not us and not our customers.

Natural materials, like wood, are highly functional and they inspire us with their performance characteristics each time we ski. That’s why we only build skis with wood cores and use for as many natural materials as possible for out clothing products while seeking to maximize their performance in harsh winter conditions.

The interconnectivity of man, nature, highest quality standards in product design and “Product Performance” with pure design combine to provide for the perfect moment – that’s the Kneissl way.
